DON'T BE A BULLY, ESPECIALLY ON MISCHIEF NIGHT
About Michael Mossucco Jr.
Michael Mossucco Jr., also known as Mikey Mazook, is an independent filmmaker and founder of Mossucco Films, based in New Jersey. Best known for his feature film Michael Mossucco’s Mischief Night, Michael Mossucco, Jr. took on every major creative role from writing, directing, producing, filming, and editing the entire project by himself. The reason was deeply personal: to honor his late father.
Driven by love and legacy, Michael Mossucco, Jr. dedicated the film to his father in heaven, determined to create something with his own two hands that would make him proud. The film, a 1930s-style horror slasher set in 1981 and 1991, explores themes of bullying, grief, and consequences. It features music by The Outlawz, including a track featuring Tupac Shakur, whose influence mirrored Michael Mossucco, Jr's desire to leave behind something timeless and meaningful. In addition, it's the only movie in the genre that has an Outlawz song featuring Tupac, with the proper rights secured for its use.
Originally seeking the final $20,000 through Kickstart, Michael Mossucco, Jr. ultimately self-funded the entire $181,000 budget to maintain creative integrity and see his vision through.
Michael Mossucco, Jr. continues to tell stories that are as personal as they are cinematic, crafted not just for audiences, but for those we carry in our hearts.
